The challenge
A clifftop site 60 m above the Pacific: N3 cyclonic-grade wind loads, salt spray all year and a BAL-29 bushfire rating — while the architect wanted 6.4 m openings with sightlines under 25 mm. Two local suppliers declined the tender.

Our solution

Specified the S120 Lift & Slide with a reinforced 20 mm interlock and stainless 316 rollers, tested to 2,000 Pa at our partner lab.

Toughened 6.38 mm laminated outer pane with a BAL-29 compliant IGU and bushfire-rated EPDM gaskets.
- 03
Marine-grade Qualicoat Seaside pre-treatment with Anthracite RAL 7016 fine-texture powder.

AS 2047 and WERS reports issued in the builder's name before the building permit lodgement.
